What the Heavy-Duty Cover Changes
The heavy-duty pressure plate in the Stage 1X raises the torque capacity ceiling compared to the standard Stage 1 while keeping the sprung organic disc that maintains street drivability. The result is a clutch that can handle significantly more torque than stock without the harshness or difficulty of a track-oriented single disc. Note that the increased clamping force will increase pedal effort modestly compared to the Stage 1.
