The XClutch Carbon Blade clutch kit uses a carbon friction disc — a material that provides exceptionally low rotational inertia, excellent heat capacity, and very high torque holding capability in a single disc format. Carbon friction is the material of choice in rally and time attack competition where low inertia is critical for quick gear changes and the clutch must survive repeated high-heat engagements. This is a purpose-built motorsport clutch.

Why Carbon Friction Material
Carbon friction material provides a higher coefficient of friction than ceramic at sustained high temperatures, combined with significantly lower disc inertia than any ceramic or organic disc of equivalent size. The low inertia is particularly valuable in synchromesh transmissions used in circuit and rally competition, where reducing rotational mass speeds up synchronization during gear changes and reduces synchro wear. This is not a street clutch — it requires full, deliberate engagements and will not tolerate prolonged slipping.
