The Turbosmart Boost Reference Adapter has been designed to connect to your vehicle’s MAP sensor by placing a billet block between the sensor, and its mounting. This will allow for access to the vacuum source, while still allowing the MAP sensor to work without obstruction. Turbosmart came up with this innovative idea because today’s modern turbocharged vehicles utilize solenoid-controlled wastegates and blow-off valves to achieve the best emissions and economy numbers. But oftentimes, these designs will limit the performance by preventing users from running traditional vacuum-operated components such as aftermarket blow-off valves, as well as boost gauges.
