This is the South Bend Stage 2 DRAG Clutch, and just like all of South Bend’s Stage 2 units, these have been designed to sustain high amounts of power and torque that would otherwise surpass the limits of the factory clutch kit. More importantly, drag racing and/or drag launches can be harsh on the clutch in terms of clutch dumping, fast shifts, as well as heavy power loads. The South Bend Stage 2 Drag features their Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate that has been precision balanced to maintain a vibration-free operation at higher RPMs and it has a higher clamping load when combined with the OEM unit. The pressure plate is combined with a puck-style disc to hold down higher power and torque levels to provide faster and more precision shifts.
