Why Viton Flaps?
The one-way flapper valves in IAG oil pan baffles are what hold oil near the pickup during hard acceleration, braking, and cornering. They need to flex freely and seal reliably under high-temperature oil — conditions that degrade lesser materials over time. Inspection and Replacement
IAG recommends inspecting the baffle flaps every 12-24 months depending on how the car is used. Heavy track use warrants more frequent inspection.
