Under hard acceleration, the EJ and FA-series Subaru engines pitch backward due to the torque reaction , the factory pitch stop limits this, but with a rubber bushing that allows more movement than performance driving demands. The GrimmSpeed pitch stop mount uses a polyurethane insert that limits pitch movement more precisely, reducing the slop in the driveline that affects shift feel and throttle response consistency.

The street version uses a polyurethane insert that significantly reduces pitch movement versus OEM while remaining compatible with daily use , some additional NVH is expected but well within acceptable limits for a modified street car.
