Speed-density tuning removes the need for a MAF sensor but the port must be sealed. An unsealed MAF port creates an unmetered air leak that neither a MAF-based nor SD tune can compensate for, fuel trims and boost control will be affected regardless of calibration quality.

The GrimmSpeed plate mounts at the factory MAF hardware and sits flush with the intake pipe bore. No turbulence, no restriction, a correct seal.
