OEM rubber exhaust hangers crack and tear with age, causing exhaust rattles, contact with the underbody, and increasingly loose exhaust positioning. Polyurethane maintains its geometry under continuous heat cycling far better than rubber does.

The two-position design allows the exhaust to be set in one of two positions relative to the hanger rod, useful when fitting aftermarket cat-backs that do not exactly match OEM hanger geometry, or when fine-tuning position to avoid underbody contact.
