Performance Oil Cooler Kit for Hyundai Elantra N 2.0T

MOTORSPORT-DERIVED COOLING UPGRADE

Developed from Forge Motorsport’s experience in BTCC and its prior work on the Hyundai i30 N platform, this oil cooler kit for the Hyundai Elantra N 2.0T is designed to bring true motorsport cooling capability to a road and track application. The cooler core comes directly from Forge Motorsport’s motorsport department, providing a durable and performance-focused solution built to withstand demanding conditions.

DESIGNED TO ADDRESS HIGH OIL TEMPERATURES

During product development on the Hyundai 2.0 G4KH Theta engine, Forge identified oil temperature as a major weak point, especially on tuned vehicles or cars driven hard on track and in hotter climates. As oil temperature rises, viscosity can drop, which can reduce lubrication protection for internal engine components. This kit is designed to help control those temperatures and provide a more stable operating environment when the car is pushed harder than stock use.

THERMOSTATIC SANDWICH PLATE WITH SENSOR PORTS

The FMOC15 kit includes a specially developed oil sandwich plate with thermostatic control set at 90°C. This helps regulate oil flow through the cooler system while allowing the engine to warm correctly. The sandwich plate also includes two threaded ports, making it possible to add oil pressure and oil temperature sensors if required.

FRONT-MOUNTED FOR SUPERIOR AIRFLOW

Forge positions the oil cooler at the front of the vehicle behind the radiator grille to take advantage of strong incoming airflow. During development, Forge observed significant reductions in oil temperature with this layout. Unlike many oil cooler kits, this setup retains the factory oil-to-water cooler in place, effectively increasing the engine’s overall cooling capacity rather than replacing one cooling method with another.

COMPLETE KIT WITH CLEAN FITMENT

The kit uses a laser-cut aluminium bracket designed specifically to mount cleanly to the Elantra N crash bar for an accurate fit. It also includes a supplied low-profile high-efficiency oil filter, which can later be purchased separately for regular service intervals. Finished in black powder coat, the kit delivers a stealthy appearance while maintaining Forge Motorsport’s usual manufacturing standards and lifetime warranty support.
