The Hyper Series pressure plate uses a higher-specification diaphragm spring compared to the standard clutch kit range. This higher clamp load spring can fatigue faster under extreme use, track days, drag racing, and repeated aggressive launches accelerate spring fatigue more than normal street use. When the Hyper Series spring load has diminished, replacing the pressure plate restores the correct clamping force.
The replacement pressure plate is manufactured to the Hyper Series specification, the same spring rate, cover dimensions, and pressure ring specification as the original Hyper Series kit components.
