The Cobb Shifter Bushing kit replaces the factory rubber bushings at the shifter mechanism with tighter-tolerance units that eliminate the lateral slop that makes the factory shift action feel vague and imprecise. Factory bushings are soft rubber by design — they reduce noise transmission but allow lateral movement that increases over time as the rubber compresses and degrades. The Cobb bushings use a tighter durometer material that maintains its shape under load.

Standalone Component for Existing WRX Builds

The bushing kit installs at the front and rear pivot points of the shifter mechanism. The front bushing affects lateral precision in the gate-to-gate direction; the rear bushing affects fore-aft precision in the engagement direction. Both together produce the complete improvement.
