The Cobb SF Intake + Airbox+ Post-MAF Hose for the 2002-2007 Subaru WRX combines the SF intake cone filter and aluminum tube with the SF enclosed airbox for an improved cold-air intake path. The airbox encloses the cone filter and draws air from outside the engine bay heat zone, providing the airflow improvement of the cone filter with better thermal isolation than an open intake.

Design and Construction
The SF Airbox addresses the heat soak limitation of open cone filter intakes. During sustained performance driving, engine bay temperatures rise and an open cone filter draws progressively warmer air. The SF Airbox encloses the cone filter in a sealed structure with a cold-air inlet that draws from outside the engine bay heat zone, combining the airflow capacity of the cone filter with better thermal isolation.
Performance and Installation
The SF intake and airbox system is designed to work with the Cobb Accessport SF intake OTS maps — the calibration accounts for the combined characteristics of the SF intake and enclosed airbox. All hardware and couplers for the complete installation are included. The post-MAF hose included in this kit provides the correct silicone hose between the airbox and the factory post-MAF sensor location for a complete SF system installation.
