The factory rear sway bar mount on GR and VA Subaru uses a bracket designed for factory bar loads. When a stiffer aftermarket bar is installed, increased forces can cause the mount bracket to flex — effectively reducing the aftermarket bar’s actual effect because the chassis absorbs some of the force the bar should transmit. The reinforcement kit stiffens this mounting area so the full lateral load transfers correctly.
