Cobb Accessport V3 — 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI / 2007-2012 Legacy GT
The Cobb Accessport V3 for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, 2008-2021 STI, 2007-2012 Legacy GT EJ25 turbo models, and 2009-2013 Forester XT covers the GR-generation EJ-series Subaru platform with direct OBD-II ECU flashing, platform-specific OTS maps, live gauge display, and full data logging. These are among Cobb’s most established and thoroughly developed tuning platforms — the map library for the GR-generation EJ255 and EJ257 reflects years of real-world testing, refinement, and development across thousands of builds.

EJ255 and EJ257 Calibration: Platform-Specific Map Development
The GR-generation EJ255 WRX and EJ257 STI are physically related engines with significantly different factory calibration targets. The WRX EJ255 runs lower factory boost and more conservative ignition advance, with a fuel strategy that reflects Subaru’s global market fuel quality concerns. The STI EJ257 runs higher factory boost and a more aggressive base map, but still carries meaningful conservatism in ignition timing relative to what the engine can handle on quality North American premium fuel. Cobb’s OTS maps for both engines have been developed and refined through years of testing — they address the specific knock thresholds, fueling requirements, and boost characteristics of each engine without simply adapting settings from related platforms. For FMIC-equipped STI builds, Cobb provides dedicated FMIC OTS map variants that account for the lower charge air temperatures a front mount intercooler delivers — the calibration takes advantage of that cooler charge air with more aggressive timing advance rather than simply applying the stock intercooler map to a different hardware configuration.
FMIC Map Variants, Custom Tuning, and Data Logging
The Accessport’s data logging is particularly valuable for EJ257 STI owners running upgraded turbochargers or high-boost configurations, where stock OTS maps reach their limits and a ProTuner custom calibration becomes necessary to extract the car’s full potential safely. A complete high-speed log of boost pressure, wideband AFR, intake air temperature, coolant temperature, knock activity, and fuel trims gives the tuner everything they need to build a precise calibration. The Legacy GT platform receives dedicated Cobb calibration attention — not WRX maps adapted to the Legacy body, but independently developed maps that account for the Legacy’s different cooling capacity, transmission ratios, and weight distribution. Forester XT maps are similarly platform-specific.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning
Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system — not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.
The RallySport Take
The GR WRX and STI platform has one of the most active enthusiast communities of any production car, and Cobb’s map library for it reflects that depth of development. Whether the car is a daily driver on a 93-octane OTS map or a dedicated track car running a ProTuner custom calibration on a built EJ257, the Accessport V3 is the device that makes both possible and everything in between achievable.
