The Cobb Knob Trim Ring is an anodized aluminum ring that threads onto the base of the Cobb shift knob between the knob body and the transmission tunnel surround. The trim ring adds a band of color at the base of the shift knob where it meets the shifter boot — a subtle accent detail that is visible every time the driver’s hand reaches for the lever. The anodized finish is color-stable over the life of the ring and does not fade, chip, or peel the way painted trim can.
Color Accent at Knob Base and FT86 Compatibility
The trim ring installs by threading onto the Cobb shift knob shaft below the knob body, sitting at the base of the knob adjacent to the shift boot surround. No tools are required for installation — the ring is hand-threaded to the correct position and held in place by the knob’s thread engagement. The ring is compatible with all Cobb Delrin and Weighted shift knobs for the specified platform. The Blued Titanium variant uses genuine titanium that develops heat-influenced color variation with use, similar to Cobb’s titanium exhaust tips.
