The Cobb Redline Carbon Fiber Intake uses carbon fiber for the airbox structure, providing two meaningful advantages over standard intake materials. First, carbon fiber has significantly lower thermal conductivity than aluminum or plastic — it transfers heat from the surrounding engine bay into the enclosed intake air poorly compared to metal and plastic structures. This reduces heat soak into the intake air, particularly meaningful during sustained high-performance driving or track sessions where engine bay temperatures rise substantially. Cooler intake air is denser air, providing more oxygen per unit volume for combustion. Second, the Redline CF intake provides superior visual presentation in the engine bay — the woven carbon fiber finish is immediately visible when the hood is open and communicates the level of attention that has been applied to the build. The polished aluminum intake tube matches the performance character of the carbon fiber structure.

Integrated Accessport Calibration for the Complete Package

The Redline CF intake and FMIC are complementary upgrades — the intake addresses heat soak from the engine bay before the turbocharger, and the FMIC addresses heat generated by turbocharging after the turbocharger.
