How CAN Flex Fuel Works

Cobb’s CAN Fuel Pressure Sensor Kit installs a fuel pressure sensor in the fuel delivery system that communicates fuel pressure readings to the Accessport via the CAN bus. The Accessport can then display fuel pressure as a live gauge parameter and log it during data capture sessions — providing real-time and recorded visibility into fuel system behavior that the factory instrument cluster and standard OBD-II cannot provide.

Fuel pressure monitoring is a valuable diagnostic and safety tool for turbocharged Subaru applications. Fuel pressure drop under boost can indicate pump limitations, fuel line restrictions, or regulator issues — problems that cause lean conditions and potential engine damage that a standard gauge setup will not catch. The CAN fuel pressure data also gives a ProTuner additional calibration information for precise fueling targets.
