Docol R8 Steel, 360-Degree TIG Welding, and Bolt-In Engineering
The CMS Performance Roll Bar uses 1.75-inch x 0.095-inch Docol R8 Advanced High-Strength Steel tubing throughout — 15% stronger than 4130 CrMo steel and 30% stronger than mild (DOM) steel used by other roll bar manufacturers. CMS TIG welds through 360 degrees at every joint — no plug welds, no partial welds — and uses CNC-cut mounting plates that align precisely with factory chassis mounting points. The main hoop is one-piece construction with fully integrated X-bracing and a harness bar that positions shoulder straps at the correct 0° to -20° angle for proper racing harness geometry regardless of seat position. The rearward kickers are optimized for roll-over support while maintaining unobstructed rearward visibility for the driver.
Color Options, Harness Bar Geometry, and Off-Road Use
The bolt-in installation requires no cutting, drilling, or welding on the chassis. The CMS Roll Bar bolts directly to factory chassis strong points using included USA-made Grade 8 hardware. CNC-machined high-strength steel interlocking joints and CNC-cut mounting plates ensure precise alignment with the chassis mounting locations. Multiple powder coat color options are available including factory-matched paint colors for the specific vehicle — select from the dropdown when ordering. Full installation instructions and video are provided by CMS. This product is intended for off-road race track use only.

Why Choose Competition Motorsport
Competition Motorsport designs and manufactures roll bars, seat delete panels, and harness hardware for track-prepared and street-driven sports cars from their facility in the USA. Every CMS roll bar is built from Docol R8 Advanced High-Strength Steel — 15% stronger than 4130 CrMo and 30% stronger than mild (DOM) steel used by other manufacturers — and is TIG welded through 360 degrees at every joint. CMS products bolt directly to factory chassis mounting points without cutting, drilling, or welding on the car. Custom powder coating in factory-matched paint colors sets CMS apart from manufacturers who offer only generic black, white, or red. RallySport Direct stocks Competition Motorsport products because the quality of their domestic manufacturing and the thoughtfulness of their fitment engineering produce hardware we are confident recommending for track-day and time attack builds.
The RallySport Take
The CMS Performance Roll Bar for this platform is the strongest, safest, most precisely engineered bolt-in roll bar available. Docol R8 construction, 360-degree TIG welding, factory-matched powder coat color options, and an installation that requires nothing more than a wrench — no chassis modification of any kind.
