This is the Boomba Racing Stage 2 Compact Catch Can Kit that is now available for the 22+ WRX models. Like all boxer engines, the platform in the new WRX can certainly benefit from a quality catch can system to prevent unwanted oil contaminants from entering your intake system especially since this is still a relatively new vehicle. Without a catch can system, the oil contaminants can enter the intake system where carbon and gunk can coat your intake valves and the top of your pistons which will lower your gas octane rating and eventually lead to detonation issues. The Stage 2 Compact Catch Can Kit utilizes a two-stage outlet to ensure that the oil within the vapor going through the can is trapped preventing any chances of making it into the intake system.
